Create a primary partition
Create an extended partition
You can create an extended partition in an unallocated space of the hard disk (basic disk with MBR layout).
1. Select the unallocated space to create an extended partition.

Right-click or click on New partition under Action/All actionsin the menu bar.
3.
Follow the questions in the dialog and in the dialog Selection of the partition type, choose Extended partition.
4. In the next step you should specify properties such as the size of the partition.
5. After confirmation, the extended partition will be displayed graphically as “Free Space”.
6. You will be able to create unlimited logical drives on the extended partition.
Note: It’s possible to create up to four primary partitions on a basic disk, or three primary partitions and one
extended partition with any number of logical drives.
