otherwise be complications during cloning or even a possible system crash. With simple hard disk structures

(basic disk), all partitions in the operating system will be recognized by a link from hard disk signature and par-

tition offset. During cloning, the registry entries of the drive letters, including the letters, will be adapted to the

target system.

Note: If you want to restore the clone of a system partition on a PC with different hardware, read more about

this in the separate PDFdocument "Restoration on different hardware" (Machine Independent Restoration).

Advanced restoration

All the information about an existing image file and its corresponding drive can be displayed by clicking Tools/Read

image information. You can also apply further settings under Options.

Note: Make sure the Advanced start page is being displayed if you want to run this feature. This can be done by

clicking Advanced start page on the O&ODiskImage start page.

Note: If you want to restore your entire system or a system partition, you'll have to start your computer using

the Start CD of O&ODiskImage and begin the restoration from there. See Start O&O DiskImage directly from

CD.
